The room
Measure the space where the piece will stand, then leave about 45 cm in front of it to walk past, and 75 cm in front of a sideboard to open its doors.
The way in
Measure the width and height of every door, the lift's door and inside depth, and the narrowest turn on the stairs. A piece needs to pass its smallest side through each.
